Prayer for the 150th Anniversary
Gracious God, your son Jesus, in his resurrection, gave the Great Commission to those who were his witness: we thank you for giving your Holy spirit to those who founded and sustained Trinity Church over 150 years; and we prayer  that we may boldly proclaim the Gospel in word and deed, so that through our witness, all who seek you will may be filled with your joy and peace; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Under the slogan, "Embrace The Past, Build For The Future, "Trinity Episcopal Church will inaugurate a year-long series of special events beginning on Trinity Sunday, May 18, to celebrate our Sesquicentennial—150 years of witness and worship in Towson MD.

The kickoff event, an extension of our annual meeting, will be a catered luncheon following the 10:00 am service  in Memorial Hall, with retired Bishop of Maryland Robert Ihloff as honored guest. Bishop Ihloff will also preside at that morning's regular worship services. It is hoped that representatives from Trinity's former missionary chapels, now Church of the Good Shepherd in Ruxton, and the Church of the Holy Comforter in Lutherville, as well as members of our own Korean Congregation, will join us for this gala inaugural event. All are urged to sign up for the luncheon as soon as possible: adult tickets are $10.00, children, $5.00, with a maximum of $25.00 per family. Individual favors and a special "give away" per table are included in the ticket price. Sign-up sheets are on bulletin boards in the Parish Hall and the church.

On July 4th , Trinity will be represented at the Towson Independence Day Parade. Plans call for a small group of Trinitarians to carry an identifying banner and to accompany a vintage car belonging to parishioner Larry Fultz. On Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m., under the sponsorship of choir director Warren Glock and members of the Trinity Choir, the highly-regarded Maryland State Boychoir of more than 100 voices will present a concert in the church. The event will be open to the public and ticket information will be announced in a later edition of Trinity Times. On Sunday, February 15, 2009 The Baltimore Pipe Band will perform with Blessing of the Tartans.

The year-long celebration will end officially on Saturday evening, May 17, 2009, with a catered dinner party. During that month, Sesquicentennial Trees will be planted on the church lawn—a project for which memorial donations will be solicited. Details will be announced.
