This group has been engaged in a lively study of Great Figures of the New Testament, a video series taught by Professor Amy-Jill Levine of Vanderbilt University Divinity School. Parishioner Jack Gillett leads the discussion following each 30-minute video lecture. The great persons we have already studied include John the Baptist, The Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and the Magi. Upcoming sessions are about Peter the Apostle, Doubting Thomas, Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, the Samaritan Woman, and Mary Magdalene.

Wisdom literature - Proverbs, Daniel, Song of Solomon, some Apocrypha (Tobit, Susanna, Bel and the Dragon, & Judith), and Gospel Wisdom.
Dr. Micky Efird, Professor Emeritus of Biblical Interpretation at Duke University, will be leading us on DVD through this interesting class in 6 sessions.
