Anglican Sacramental Imagination

- Jan 22 – The Anglican Sacramental Imagination and the Book of Common Prayer: This session will provide a general introduction to the Anglican sacramental imagination and locate it within the Episcopal tradition in the prayer book. We will consider the Book of Common Prayer as both a product and subsequent shaper of the distinctive Anglican sacramental sensibility.
- Jan 29 – The Anglican Sacramental Imagination and Creation: This session will consider some visual and literary works that have been shaped by and given expression to God’s self-revelation in creation.
Feb 5– The Anglican Sacramental Imagination and Redemption: This session will consider some visual and literary works that have been shaped by and given expression to God’s self-revelation in the calling of Israel, in God’s Word spoken through the prophets, and in Jesus Christ.
Jessy Jordan received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Baylor University. He is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg,, MD. Jessy is a member of the Trinity Vestry and the Christian Formation Committee. He attends the 11 o’clock service and the Wednesday evening Bible study.
