Prayer During Transition
Almighty God, we ask your help as we seek a new rector for Trinity Church. We thank you for the blessings of our past and the promise of a hopeful future. Open our hearts to one another, that we may speak and hear and understand all our needs and hopes. Grant us steadiness and wisdom as we express those needs and hopes in a vision for all who come among us. Show us the road we must walk, we pray, in the name of your Son, who always walks with us. Amen.

Sundays in Lent: Writing a Trinity Profile
The future of Trinity Church is going to be what you make of it.
That will mean talking about ourselves — what draws us here and keeps us here. It will also mean talking about other people who are not yet here but who may be drawn here — the things that will attract them and keep it. It will mean talking straightforwardly about the challenges before this congregation.
Starting in Lent, we will begin in earnest to prepare for the search for a new rector who will bring his or her own talents, personality, and ideas to our congregation, to work with us to build a future for the parish.
The five Sunday Morning Adult Forums in Lent will give everyone a chance to be heard. We’ll share our thoughts about congregational life, listening to each other and to come to consensus about the qualities we want and need in the next rector.
This process will not be complete without your thoughts and insights. So please plan to attend as many of the Lenten Profile sessions as you can. We will begin at 10 a.m. in Memorial Hall and finish in time for the 11 o’clock service. Sunday school teachers can attend the discussions during the last two Sundays in February — when Sunday school classes will be taught by Trinity’s youth group.
