Ministry of the Month: Outreach

The Trinity Outreach Ministry Mission is To serve Christ in all people by funding and executing projects that benefit those in need locally, regionally, and across the globe. Examples include:

Year-Round Activities:

  • Trinity Transportation – A ministry assisting parishioners with transportation barriers in attending services
  • Prologue – Toiletries for the unhoused population served next door at Prologue. Look for our basket in the church narthex to donate toiletries and personal care items.

Annual Activities:

  • Love Your Neighbor Prison Ministry – Sheets and towels for individuals recently released from prison
  • MCVETs – Toiletries and personal items for veterans in need
  • Pleasant Plains Elementary – School supplies, hats, and gloves for students in need
  • Kibble Connection – Pet food and supplies so families can keep their pets during times of financial hardship
  • Episcopal Relief and Development – Outreach makes an annual financial donation to assist those in need around the globe.

The Outreach Ministry has also begun a partnership with ERICA (Episcopal Refugee and Immigrant Center Alliance) to assist a refugee family from Afghanistan that has recently settled in the Towson area with camp transportation, school enrollment, job placement, and practicing English.

We are now collecting school supplies for Pleasant Plains Elementary, with a goal of collecting 35 backpacks.  We will be holding our Workship service event to fill the backpacks on Sunday, August 11th at the 10:15 service. If you are interested in contributing, please sign up to purchase supplies during Sunday service or contact Melissa Jenkins at 443-980-5194. Supplies can be dropped off at church or, if ordering online, can be sent directly to Melissa Jenkins at 114 Willow Ave Towson 21286. Financial donations can also be made to the school supply drive either online or by check. Just mark your donation as Outreach Ministry Fund.
